Central heating query

Recommended Posts

If you have a room with two radiator's in and want to make the room warmer, what is the cheapest thing to do?

a) Turn the second radiator on as well, at the same temperature as the first?

Or

b) Just turn the temperature up on the first radiator?

Can the first radiator provide enough heat to warm the room to where you want to get to?

In terms of cost, I imagine the difference is trivial. You will lose a bit of heat in the pipework to the second rad, but nothing of consequence.

You might heat one end of the room more than you want, by using just one rad, and would increase the heat loss through walls and windows at that end.

In summary, it's not worth worrying about. Is it a purely academic question?

You can purchase radiator fans, I believe they work.
