melthebell
it seems they have been fined before for rigging contracts yet still allowed to take on new contracts for the gov http://www.independent.co.uk/news/business/news/builders-fined-pound129m-for-rigging-contract-bids-1791268.html said it all along, all these businesses are screwing the likes of the government, same with the NHS, people again are moaning about the NHS and foriegners on facebook, NO theres plenty of money its just being kept by the rich AND these big companies are overcharging, same with the drug companies. Theres been no end of government inititives that get started, and end early or before it gets going, and cost an arm and a leg.

I1L2T3
if this company goes bust what happens to the remainder of the pfi contracts ? A lot of people - many no doubt connected to government ministers - will get very rich from ‘rescuing contracts’ One thing everybody needs to understand is that in situations like these the elites never lose Nationalise it
Bob Arctor
honest question . What can be done about this ? Just let them go bust, owing millions to subcontractors and workers , with an empty pension pot ? Yes, that's how capitalism "works". If you don't like that, stop being a capitalist. Otherwise, nationalise it. ---------- Post added 14-01-2018 at 14:44 ---------- It would be the Torys that do it, as they in power, but isn't this basically the Labour policy too? Merge loads of [failed] businesses together to create a huge failed business? It was, hopefully not in the future. Cyclone
The pension pot will of course be covered by the government, but perhaps the directors should be jailed if they've been underfunding it or using it inappropriately... Make it clear to business leaders in the UK that running down the pension fund to keep a business afloat is illegal and will actually result in punishment.
