Jillybabes
Got rats under living room floorboards, it seen them but seem their huge droppings through the cracks, our dog keeps going crazy, jumping about and growling. We have put some poison down there but not doing much at moment, they are eating it though. Due to have new carpets this weekend too so couldn't have happened at a worse time. Anyone else had a rat problem?
Obelix
If it's good poison like the superwarfarin stuff and they have eaten it you will have dead rats by the weekend. If not, it's time to get some rat traps and bait them and see if they will go for it - can take some time to persuade them that a rat trap isnt dangerous though and actually get them... Anyone else had a rat problem? The only downside to poison used indoors is if there are a few rats they might give off a smell as they decompose. Trapping would be a better solution. alarmingmark
Don't put carpets down untill you have got rid of the rats ....the smell of a dead rat will stink the house out , check under the floor and remove any dead ones !
smithy266
A fully grown rat can get through a hole about an inch in diameter....we had a contract with Rentokill when we had a rat problem when we lived in Greystones.

Anyone else had a rat problem? My mate works for Environmental Health and he says Shiregreen is at the moment in the grip of a bit of a rat epidemic, they are absolutely pulled out with it on that estate. ---------- Post added 25-01-2018 at 22:20 ---------- Think he council pest control people will deal with rats for free.
