melthebell
Her job has been abolished due to political correctness. really? The darts organisation and the broadcasters organised that, do we yet know what their actual reason was yet? or just pc brigade paranoia?

area 51
Strangely defensive. Yes, I read the link. You said in your earlier post 'She is angry that her rights have been taken away, and rightly so'. So what rights do you think have been taken away from her? Its perfectly obvious why she is claiming her rights have been violated by the fact that she has lost a job she loves doing because other people are offended by the job that she does and enjoys, you are just looking for an argument.I have had enough of all your arrogant posts on previous threads. As i said she has a twitter account so ask her yourself.I am tired of wasting my time on this pointless forum arguing with the likes of middle class, champagne socialists like yourself who think they know whats best for society.Well i cannot be bothered anymore,i am going to sit and watch the darts.Good night. Interesting debating tactic. ---------- Post added 28-01-2018 at 19:56 ---------- "Rights being taken away from her" is probably the wrong way of putting it. Her job has been abolished due to political correctness. Okay, what's your definition of political correctness?
melthebell
The darts organisation and the broadcaster didn't want the hassle from the PC brigade and the media giving succour to them. ok ive just found an official reason Chairman Barry Hearn has reluctantly conceded walk-on girls were in danger of becoming incompatible with inclusive family viewing. im not sure its the pc brigade exactly, but sexualising women and kids watching said sexualisation is not good? I believe it was the broadcasters who told the PDC so they either know more kids are now watching, or want more kids to watch? also as its inclusive family viewing id say its inconsistant with most women watching in the family environment too ---------- Post added 28-01-2018 at 20:00 ---------- Okay, what's your definition of political correctness? anything later than the 1970s? Please spare me the "its political correctness that made terms like **** and ****** unacceptable" because those terms are not "politically incorrect", they are just down right insulting and offensive. The political correctness I'm talking about is things like the subject of this thread; consenting adults fun being spoilt by a small morally superior elite that no doubt don't even watch darts, who apparently know best for us all. People are getting fed up with it.

Guest
No, I'm just asking what your definition is of political correctness, not what you perceive to be an example of political correctness. So, what's your definition? Isn't the term "political correctness" a pejorative term? because of our different persuasions on certain things, my "political correctness" can be your "doing the right thing". So I say that phasing out terms like "mother" and "Actress" is political correctness, in other words, I think its stupid, whereas you would probably think that a good thing.
