I agree with Halibut, absolutely pointless in having this in today's age- it just shows women are treated like commodities. There to be used by these companies for the entertainment and joy of men. Does nothing to empower women, on the contrary it weakens them and displays them as nothing more than bargaining chips. How do you get more ladies into the sport when they switch it on they see scantily clad ladies and not into that type of thing? How do you progress the sport when its living in the past? shouldnt the powers that be be looking to the future? I know of ladies who wouldn't read The Sun or allow it in the house due to page 3, yet they were quite happy to watch porn films. They didn't see the need for nude women to promote a product or act as an enticement to a product, exactly as in the case of "eye candy" Has anyone actually asked any of the women involved in this work how they feel about it, the two I know are appalled and one (who does mostly snooker promotional work) has even started an online petition against it, its quite staggering reading through this thread what people get wound up about.
