No more walk-on models at the Darts

Recommended Posts

And now another crowd of unemployed females...

"Walk-on grid girls will no longer be used before Formula One races, the sport's organisers have announced."

wow!!! the nearsightedness of this whole ridiculous move to ban glamour girls etc from sport is beyond belief, they may appease the few but they will anger the many, glamorous sports like F1 and others are a whole spectacle not just the sport and these sports will be the worse for these petty meddling & intrusions.

Who are 'the few' and why do you think they appear to have the power to influence decisions?

The analogy was based on the petition that was raised by one the walk-on models, which stated that 'tradition' and 'losing work' was a justification to reverse the decision. #207

I suggested that back in the day, the same justification could have been used for typists.

So why in this case is it different?

For the same reason.

The work has not been taken away from them via business efficiencies or technological advances - but by pressure from one group holding particular views on another.

I’m not passing comment on who’s right or wrong here by the way.

But someone becoming redundant because of PC’s is different to saying we are not employing you as a typist because we don’t agree women should do what you are doing.

the few PC activists that have more time on their hands than normal people, they appear to have the power due to the publicity so instead of the old "pulling the race card" now its more like pulling the sexist misogynist card......and we all know that businesses hate the alleged bad perceived publicity:loopy:

You've missed the point. Should 'tradition' and 'losing work' be a justification for reversing the decision?

Is a feminazi what you call a woman who dares to complain when a bloke grabs her backside or mades lewd comments about her breasts?
