russellneele
For about a week now, I've been hearing impaired and treated with some ear drops. This did not work so I called my G.P appointment only to be told it would be over 2 weeks and even then the time provided was not good because of the job commitment. As an alternative I asked if I could use a walking center and receptionist not sure and following this I discussed this with a few people that some people think you can use. Use this service and others do not. Has anyone ever tried to get their ears interposed at a walk in the center and what was the reaction?

My initial reaction would be yes, but why not give them a call and check - the number is on the webpage below https://www.nhs.uk/Services/clinics/Overview/DefaultView.aspx?id=96563
Annie Bynnol
The Walk in Centre will not usually do invasive examinations of the ear. I went there with a friend who had 'lost' a cotton bud in her ear. We were sent to the minor injuries department at the Hallamshire, by pure chance we met a lady with ear ache who was being sent down to the Walk in Centre. At the Hallamshire the doctor asked what she did, she said that she was a teacher. The doctor asked "Which ear?". My friend replied "Third year". The doctor asked "No, left or right ear". Mikes10
Earlier this month I went to the Broad Lane NHS Walk-in Centre with an hearing problem. After waiting about 40 minutes saw a nurse, she said I had imflammation in both ears and wax in one ear, and gave me a prescription for a spray. Told to use the spray for five days and then get my surgery nurse to srynge my ears.
