Vegan visitor in Sheffield?

Some good ideas. The True North chain of pubs (Broadfield, Waggon & Horses, etc) do some nice options. The White Lion in Heeley also has vegan beer available regularly / always.

Always at least one vegan real ale on cask and sometimes more. All the lager, cider and two of the wines are vegan too.

We're also next to Luna Rossa, an Italian restaurant which serves meat dishes but also has one of the largest vegan menus in Sheffield. You can also order in any food from local restaurants to eat at the pub.

Personally, Make No Bones is my favourite. Consistently great food.

Steel City cakes on Abbeydale road if you want to taste the best cake in your entire life. They have about 10 different cakes to choose from, the coffee and walnut cake is to die for, and you get huge slices for £2.50!! And next door to them is a vegan cafe called "BurgerLolz", great for if you want to go somewhere a bit more casual. They do very tasty vegan hot dogs, burgers (in case that wasn't obvious!) and magnificent "freak shakes".

Big chaines such as M and s, Sainsburys and Boots all have vegan option sarnies. Waterstones and Costa have vegan cakes and sometimes salads. Pizza Express do a vegan pizza. Chain cafes often have plant based milk for tea too.

get her to expand her Horizons the fad will pass take her to Miller & carter at Parkhead steaks are very good.

For some people it is useful knowing where vegan food is served as they have dairy allergies or intolerances not fads, so they know they are safe with vegan foods.

Do steel city cakes, make any cakes without milk or dairy products in and do burgerlolz do any

Freakshakes that are dairy free.

Finally got to Just Falafs yesterday -- great falafel! Thanks for the recommendations.

Sadly, it looks like Make No Bones is out of business.

And it turns out we had the wrong end of the stick: our goddaughter isn't vegan, she's vegetarian, which offers even more choice. But in the meantime we found some great new restaurants.

Thanks again!
