Women are weaker than men

Recommended Posts

A dinnerlady feels they should be paid the same as a binman because 'gender pay gap', despite the jobs being totally different.

Which is worth more?

Feeding the young, or taking waste away?

Can men be dinner ladies (sic), or women be binmen (sic)?

Or - one is out in all weather, before most are awake, lifting heavy objects for hours on end...

And one is in a nice cosy kitchen for a couple of hours

Is that how we measure worth then?

If so, why do stockbrokers earn more than binmen?

Those stocks and shares don’t weigh too much

So you're saying being a dinnerlady is the same as being a binman?

No. You were saying they were of different value.

We’ve established the flaw in your reasoning up there though.

So. Your turn.

There is a difference - you might 'value' a dinnerlady equal or higher, but the abilities are different. Would a lady in her 50's want to be hulking heavy bins about in zero degrees? Not even want - is she able to? Probably not.

Standing in a kitchen for a few hours from around 10am is probably a lot cushier number than being out before the crack of dawn in all weathers.

In your world - why don't we entice more women to collect refuse and more men to work in school kitchens? Would that work???
