GUY MOWBRAY
Hello everyone I'm a local writer and musician (Chesterfield), completing a detailed book about The Small Faces On Tour: 1965-1969. The band played in Sheffield around 21st May 1965. The events appear to be: 1) Paid up at The Gatefield Social Club, Abbeydale Road at lunchtime for being too loud - playing James Brown instead of Sinatra. 2) An unpaid gig at The Esquire the same evening. 3) A gig at The Mojo Club, Pittsmoor Road the next day. Although I've interviewed a number of fascinating local people about The Gatefield and Esquire, I'd be keen to hear from anyone who saw them at The Mojo - and indeed The Esquire. If you have a tale to tell, please feel free to get in touch. Regards Guy mowbrayguy01@gmail.com tel. 0797 959 7260
