Any global climate trend would be seen in ocean temperature, current, salinity and levels of dissolved gases, changes which has been very accurately collected and calibrated for 150 years plus. The existence of "jet streams" is due to solar radiation, the exact position of the "jet stream" is due to ocean temperature and currents and the position of mountain chains and continents-that cause the weather. Weather records are popular but irrelevant as indicators of long term climate change. The 150 years of surface navy and research ship recording the ocean depth, 70 years of nuclear submarine records, 50 years of commercial and military deep ocean automatic sensors have led to a very accurate picture. Despite satellites not able to directly measure the physical and chemical properties of the ocean depths they are very good at real time measurements and can also 'see' algae, sea ice, surface current, upwelling, clarity etc which are interpreted and used in modelling. Change is happening, how much, how quickly and the impact is open to interpretation. The time scales are multi-generational. Personally I belong to the 'leave' campaign.
