Remember what they say, no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothes. Anyway, we have great attractions you can go to on a rainy day. What about the Pencil Museum at Kendal or, (maybe this was where Mr Cummings' was heading?), Bowes Museum at Barnard Castle to see the silver mechanical swan (check it out on YouTube). Mickey Mouse with your Magic Kingdom Parade, fireworks & marching bands. Pah! Nothing on our entertainment here.
apelike
Actually I hope it continues for a while yet as it means that some idiots near me who feel it necessary to have the windows open blasting out 4 to the floor music now keep their windows closed. Anna B
We're almost halfway through the year, by the end of next month we'll be heading downhill back into winter again..... No wonder people are desperate to get abroad for a few weeks of sunshine.

No wonder people are desperate to get abroad for a few weeks of sunshine. I heard weatherman, Paul Hudson, speaking on Radio Sheffield a few weeks back. He was explaining weather trends over the decades in relation to the very dry April we had & said there was a trend for an exceptionally dry April to lead to a very wet Spring & Summer. Hope he's wrong on this occasion?

You're a few months early: Quote The seasons are defined as spring (March, April, May), summer (June, July, August), autumn (September, October, November) and winter (December, January, February).
