Guest makapaka
A gentrified Fitzallan Square, complete with three bookmakers, a pie shop, a closed down supermarket, a pawn shop and a stall that sells vapes.....I'm sure it will really pull people into it. Instead of chopping down the trees maybe the council should have prioritised getting rid of the chav shops, but as evidenced by the number of 24 hr off licences on West Street selling to the Spice Zombies they really don't seem to give a toss. How would the council get rid of “the chav shops” ? Would you be happy with the council going round closing businesses that people didn’t approve of? niallzi
Be fair, they've chopped down the trees but planted plenty of new spice heads

With regards the off licenses it would be good to see licencing laws being enforced - e.g. not selling alcohol to intoxicated individuals, otherwise any well run business operating within the law should be allowed chance to succeed
Baron99
I have been reliably informed , by someone in the know , that the statue of Edward VII is to be replaced by a life size stainless steel statue of Julie Dore . The work has already been commissioned Well thst'll take care of the pigeon problem.
hackey lad
Well thst'll take care of the pigeon problem. Yes , that's why they are making it out of stainless steel , more resistant to pigeon droppings than bronze or other materials Edited September 3, 2018 by hackey lad

How many off licenses are in the square?
