Flanker7
Erm, I merely thought it was a gas explosion, dodgy boiler or something. It does happen, you know.... ...but not in that case. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leicestershire-43255379 Prepare for the worst and hope for the best is the safest way. I await information with interest. Edited March 6, 2018 by Flanker7

I await information with interest. It could still be a gas explosion. Just because there is an element of "conspiracy" doesn't mean terrorism. The mention of POCA, the proceeds of crimes act, would indicate a financial motive. My initial thought, based on visits to various premises in my former job, was that they were illegally tapping gas. We used to be accompanied on raids with people from the gas companies who would regularly find illegal and unregistered use of domestic gas. There is a link at the bottom of the first BBC item:- Leicester shop explosion: Three men in court over fatal blast 'caused by petrol' http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leicestershire-43287436 We are regularly advised not to speculate which is what the media constantly ask experts, witnesses and anyone they can get hold of, to do. The current speculation about Sergei Skripal the former Russian spy is typical. But, the speculation florishes in the absence of solid information. Do we know anything about the persons arrested in connection with the Abbey Lane incident?

Thorough investigation may find elements of more than one potential cause and have to examine multiple theories as to motive and sequence of events. Petrol, vodka and gas could all have played a part in the damage, and more than one crime is entirely possible. The fact that the 3 persons in Sheffield have all been released suggests earlier reports have over played the possible danger.

The media have a lot to answer for, may they hang their heads in shame.

Lex Luthor
Some reports state that a crude improvised device has been found. Many reports mention a third party who reported this - we should be grateful to this brave and compassionate person with a social conscience. Top Cats Hat
anyone that has terrorist leanings that are picked up or suspected by the authorities Given that the vast majority of people detained in 'terrorist' raids are very quickly released without charge, that is one hell of a lot of innocent people you want to lock up! And given that you also bang on about lenient sentences and 50% remission, where on earth are you going to imprison all these people? Dude, you need to do less shouting and more thinking!
