hobinfoot
but......imagine the outcry if it was Corbyn taking money from the Russians, If corbyn did take money from Russian donors so what. The only thing that matters to this discussion is Russia responsible for a chemical attack in the U.K ?
I1L2T3
If the Russians were behind the attack and I believe they are why do the donations matter. At the end of the day another country has carried out an attack on another's soil and put its citizens in great danger. They matter enormously. On the one hand you have misguided leftie Corbyn meeting with some minor wannabes. On the other you have the Tories raking in millions of pounds of suspect cash and using it to reinforce their power. ---------- Post added 18-03-2018 at 19:42 ---------- If corbyn did take money from Russian donors so what. The only thing that matters to this discussion is Russia responsible for a chemical attack in the U.K ? That’s just too convenient. It isn’t the only thing that matters. You can’t just brush it away like that.

Phanerothyme
LOL they are now saying it couldve originated from Poerton Down http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-43446312 Well, it is jolly lucky that the only CW attack on the UK occurred next to the UK's largest and original B&CW facility. Naive
I thought this discussion was about a possible Russian chemical attack. The argument about political donations should be reserved for another discussion. Why? Just because it is embarrassing for the government? These things are inextricably linked. Discussing property ownership and political donations is highly relevant to this thread

If you want to be tough on Russia it’s best your party isn’t living off the crumbs from the vast amount of potentially dodgy Russian money laundered through the City of London, and U.K. property. Especially so if one way to really hurt the Kremlin in the long-term is to restrict its facility to launder that dodgy money. It’s not another discussion at all. It also feeds in to the immigration debate How people want the good and the wealthy coming here instead of the "scum" but then those with the cash could be as dodgy if not more lol
