last orders
My first fishing memories are of buying a tanners worth of maggots from Bennets original tackle shop on Winter Street so we could fish for sticklebacks in Weston Park pond. We then went to Steve Calcotts near the railway station and Mrs Thackerys by the market. laterly it was Billy Clarkes at the bottom of Sharrow Lane. Asaw
In the 50's there use to be a fishing tackle shop on a road between the end of Bramhall Lane and Little London road. Anybody remember it and what it was called? My grandfathers coach use to pick fishermen up from there and take them to Boston on a sunday.
