A Theft Epidemic Is With Us.

did the victims get a satisfactory Police response in all these cases ?

Is the Police force service I stretched too thin, thanks to government cuts and the remaining officers being on patrol supporting the tree choppers ?

And that was a party political broadcast on behalf of the labour party.

it all sounds horrific to me,it used to be really high crime in greenhill/lowedges,but with our councillors, police and housing and our tara, over 10 years ago we worked at it ,and our crime rate is average, but with many council estates, you sort out one area and they pop us elsewhere, always been that way,our areas not perfect but a lot better now.

Since the cutbacks to police and the way crimes are now recorded figures have gone through the roof.

There is no getting away from it, the cutbacks did have a serious effect on policing and with all the will in the world not every theft can be attended by police.

It is assessed on the initial call weather there is any evidential value, the realistic prospect of catching an offender and is it worth sending an officer or can it be added to his already burgeoning list of offences they are already investigating.

The incident I mentioned where the joiners tools were stolen - the perpetrators crudely broke into the place and set the alarm off, waited half an hour to ensure no one was going to attend then went back in the building and filled there boots. They were wearing white paper suits and gloves with faces covered partially by masks, all caught on CCTV but useless as evidence.

Aye, to steal our caravan window, they broke in through the door which they damaged, door frame also damaged, broke the window struts and badly dented the outside of the van below the stolen window. £1600 quids worth of damage for a plastic window, which they could have bought for a couple of hundred. Thank goodness for Caravan Club Insurance.

Austerity! Cutting people’s money and leaving them destitute forces some to a life of crime. We have working people in this country using food banks so how are the unemployed supposed to survive if they can’t get a job for whatever reason?

you listen to the left wing press too often:roll: thieves will always be thieves, lowest of the low scumbag smack heads most of them, nothing to do with BREXIT OR AUSTERITY.

People are getting desperate, it will get worse......

and if we didnt have so many people flooding our country there might be more services and welfare to go round?? not really rocket science is it:(
