buddysbuddy
Why can't he keep his stupidity to himself? if blair is for this then it is obviously the wrong thing to do given his past record.
El Cid
Why can't he keep his stupidity to himself? "Tony Blair has said Britain should support taking military action against Bashar al-Assad in response to the use of chemical weapons in Syria." Not quite the same. hauxwell
I thought Trump said he wouldn’t get involved in other countries problems. Now we have Blair backing him, wish the man would go off somewhere and enjoy his retirement. I do hope what ever they decide it won’t be boots on the ground. ---------- Post added 10-04-2018 at 19:29 ---------- let him lead by example and send his own sons and daughters off to fight in the deserts of the Middle East first My late mum said the same thing when Blair took us to war. Anna B
For a supposed man of God he's really big on war. We do not need to get involved any more than we are already. We don't need to be involved at all, it only makes us a bigger target for terrorists. We don't need boots on the ground. Despite being an evil dictator, Assad isn't the enemy here, it's ISIS. Let the Russians crack on with it. At last, we agree on something.
andyofborg
it's not such a bad idea, though it would have been better had we taken action when the civil war started
mafya
Interesting article on why Assad’s victory will end the war= https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2018/apr/09/assad-victory-syria-civil-war-west-chemical-attack-douma As mentioned in the article = “The 1997 world chemical weapons convention was an advance in defining “acceptable” forms of killing in war. Its defect was that small, poor countries had larger stockpiles. Nor could they see much distinction between their chlorine and sarin and Nato’s horrific cluster bombs and white phosphorous. Photographs of choking children make graphic television, but at least they might survive. We never see the body parts of those blasted to pieces by high-explosive missiles.” Western hypocrisy is as clear as day imo..... ---------- Post added 10-04-2018 at 20:15 ---------- it's not such a bad idea, though it would have been better had we taken action when the civil war started We funded the rebel terrorists instead....
