How do you charge phone in car if there's no cigarette lighter port?

Hi all

 

I take it fairly new cars (and new ones) don't have this feature anymore. So how would you charge your phone if there's no cigarette lighter port?

Most cars now have a USB port, check in the glove box.

I think most cars still have them, they are just not called cigarette lighter ports anymore. They are usually called auxiliary power outlets. Most modern cars have them in back as well as the front.

They'll usually have one or more USB ports and also usually one or more 12V socket.

They have them but there's no cigarette lighter in it...just the socket...

Mines got 12volt in boot and front and usb is in the little storage box between the front seats. The 12 volts tend to have a cap on them now. Hope that helps.

Piggyback fuse going to a USB converter

 

I use one for a dashcam and a spare USB charging port tucked away in the glovebox. Looks neater than stuff plugged into the cig socket.
