You can argue the toss all day.

But some things are clear.

In 2013 Parliament voted against air strikes in Syria.

There is no public majority for air strikes in Syria.

And last of all a British Prime Minister has got us involved in a middle east war on very dodgy evidence.

Legally, she probably didn't need to go to Parliament. To legitimise the actions she probably should have. I have not an ounce of love for the horrible person....May that is, not Assad.., but I'm slightly prepared to give her the benefit of the doubt on this one.

 

Of course nothing will change. We signalled our actions, and probably explained them in great detail to Russia, so as not to escalate the situation, so basically it was just gesturing.

 

Also. Why is Assad gassing 500 people so much worse than Saudi Arabia incinerating thousands of men, women and children in Yemen using devastating incendiary devices sold to them by the UK?

 

There is no moral stuff going on here, it's politics, weapons, money and power.
