gamezone07
Just got a hi-fi item really cheap on e bay, basically because it was collect only, i have managed to fix the old one and want to sell it, thing is, they are going for double what I paid for it. if i put on for double, buyers will be able to see how much i paid for it just last week, they may still buy it, but could there be fall out, bad feedback, etc. oh, collection petrol costs were a tenner, so that would be included., Edited May 1, 2018 by gamezone07
SnailyBoy
I don't understand. Why would it matter how much you paid for the item, isn't that the nature of business?
ianparkin
If you are that bothered just generate a new user account and use that for selling
max
Alternatively, explain why the price has increased.
alchresearch
You can either be honest and explain what you've done (I've done this with no problem), or get someone else to sell it for you. Or neither and hope that buyers don't click your previous feedback.
gamezone07
The thing is, plenty of people sell things they bought elsewhere at a mark up, maybe not on same site, what are the downsides?
Baron99
Case of upcycling surely. You bought something in good faith; worked on it; so sell it in good faith.

Ghozer
I did it a while ago, purchased a screen for an iMac, replaced it, but the screen wasn't faulty in the end (I didn't think it was tbh) - so re-sold the one I purchased and got more for it than I paid.... it was only within a couple of weeks of original purchase also, I literally put in description what had happened, and there was no problem... I got the iMac working without a replacement screen in the end, so I confirmed the screen worked also!
