Posher east coast seaside towns/villages?

Recommended Posts

Difficult to avoid this self destructive underclass that has emerged.

I just spent the Bank Holiday on a Worcestershire camp site where the 'people next door' opened a conversation with 'Here are the cast of Shameless .....'

That couple weren't wrong. They'd been there all of 15 minutes and observed a real life trailer acted out before their eyes of the best bits of a soap TV. Wayne and Wayetta do exist ...... with kids!

My own observations over the two days I could tollerate were: drunk off their heads mid-day ramblings; fights between kids, youths, adults. Music played at open air concert venue levels; blasted from parked cars with the doors open and deafening.

Worthy of note are the low lights from low lifes. Destructive, ruinous family disintegration fueled by drink under cover of darkness. OK. Just as evening approached. After all, they'd been drinking since breakfast; a can with a fag.

Women fighting. But considerate women. After all, one asked the other to put the effing baby down first before attempting to strangle its mother. Families divided, crying, violently arguing and attacking each other. Grown men spending the day [and half the night] on a play station.

Is it me? What's that all about?

Parties. On a camp site until 2 a.m. held by a two families that spend their lives doing as they see fit without any shread of care or concern for anyone else. Not so much dirty linen in public as standing naked doing the laundry in public.

I don't recognise this scum. For that is what they are. Pure ignorant scum.

I actually don't recognise my country any more.

Where has this white trash come from? We have our very own poverty entrapped trailer trash without any dignity. Certainly without intelligence or self control.

My Grandparents were dignified, hard working people. Working class. My parents aspired to build on such ordinary beginnings and achieved in their own way and lived their lives with manners, dignity and respect for others.

As for me, I follow the example I was given but the generatons that follow me have amongst them a burgeoning underclass that may as well have crawled from the sewers. They are of little value, are trash or worse.

We need a good war. This fodder should be given a purpose in life other than to make the lives of others miserable and that includes those of their own family.

Shamless is out there and thriving on ignorance and kebabs.

Join the Caravan Club. They don’t allow that sort of behaviour.

I had a day out at Bridlington over the weekend. Lots of families, but it was bucket and spades, rides and boat trips and fish and chips (I dread to think how many were consumed)- the arcades weren't mega busy from what I observed There wasn't hordes hanging out of pubs - in fact they looked quite quiet and no sweary Mary parents arguing with each other or their kids that I saw. Given how busy it was on the front I was surprised at that - a nice afternoon all told.

Nothing wrong with brid. tin foil. iv"e got relations that live there, and I visit 2 or 3 times a year, in fact I'm looking to move there myself.

The Northumberland coast is lovely, near where I live.

There’s Bamburgh Castle with a lovely coast to walk along.

There is also Holy Island which has a Castle, however it is a tidal island so you can only go on the Island at certain times. So if you are into lovely unspoilt beeches there is plenty to explore on the Northumbrian coast. A few miles in land there is Alnwick Castle and village, famous for the Harry Potter films and other things also Morpeth Village. Come to think about it there is an awful lot of castles up here, but not everyone’s into that sort of thing.

If you like shopping there is Newcastle, which has the same shops as Sheffield apart from Fenwick’s Department Store, it has lots of restaurants inside and a very trendy food hall which is well out of my budget, but the shop is well worth a visit. It’s also famous for its themed Christmas Windows, but that might not be much use to you.

On the down side the fish and chips or rubbish up here. So every few weeks when I visit Sheffield I always go to my favourite chippy. Also it might be a bit further than you want to travel.

You can get public transport from Newcastle that goes to Berwick upon Tweed and goes along the costal route stopping at various places. It’s not expensive and if you have a bus pass you can use it. Been told that the views are lovely, but takes two hours to get to Berwick, I’ve only done part of it.

The missus and me spent a few days at Seahouses visiting Bamburgh, Lindisfarne and the Farne Islands. We had some lovely fish and chips in one of the cafes near Seahouses harbour.

I have been told that there is good fish and chip shop at Seahouses, so perhaps I’m not being fair.

We spend hours at Runswick Bay when staying at Whitby.Walk around the bay, nice coffee and cakes and lovely sands.

Always hope to get in the bottom car park as it’s a fair climb up the hill.

All very civilised but hopefully not too posh.?

Sad to say that we were there over the Bank holiday and the high spring tides have washed mud and pebbles on much of the sands .

I’m sure that it will recover in time but it was a mess.

Apparently according to a local the beach at Sandsend suffered as well.
