truman
I do hope you aren't suggesting anyone who didn't get a private pension must have "squandered" their cash? Plenty of people work most or all their life but never earned enough to afford a mortgage or private pension. Some people undoubtably will have wasted their money...If you note I didn't say all.. El Cid
It would be a brave government to upset the grey vote Maybe the below average wage workers need a perk to vote?
truman
So if a mother has only worked 20 years due to bringing up children; will she qualify for a state pension? http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/pensions/article-3557585/STEVE-WEBB-state-pension-works-women-bring-children.html might explain it a bit
Ms Macbeth
http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/pensions/article-3557585/STEVE-WEBB-state-pension-works-women-bring-children.html might explain it a bit Unfortunately older baby boomers, like me, didn't get credits for bringing up children in the seventies.
