Halibut
He has been nothing but divisive and terrible for race relations. Only a racist could believe that. 1. He is too young, he has achieved nothing in life of any magnitude. Total nonsense. 2. He does not have long-standing connections to the city. Raised in Sheffield; Lord Mayor of Sheffield - you're clutching at straws. 3. He has not provided anything for the people of Sheffield. Great publicity, a sense of optimism. 4. The recipient should be humble. It's 2018 - are you in the right century? 5. He disrespects the office. Pathetic. 6. He disrespects democracy. Are you still crying because he wore a hat? 7. He disrespects the Royal family. No evidence whatsoever. 8. He disrespects anyone who believes in borders. Zero evidence of this either. 9. He has been divisive. He's got a handful of small-minded bigots and racists frothing at the mouth; good. 10. He is terrible for race relations. Only a racist would say so. 11. He dresses like a Primark inspired Rapper. Pathetic. 12. He poses about like a Love Island reject. Pathetic. 13. He has brought the office into disrepute. No, he's breathed new life and vigour into it. 14. He has brought the nation's attention to the city for the wrong reasons. I suppose if a person were a petty minded bigot and a racist they might believe that. I'm a fair minded bloke though ScripTed - how about you explain exactly what he's said and done that's been damaging for race relations and I'll give you a considered response? ---------- Post added 06-07-2018 at 06:29 ---------- I liked the last Lord Mayor he was Asian. No she wasn't. Edited July 6, 2018 by Halibut

Branyy
To be completely honest, I was happy for him when he became the Lord Mayor. I really appreciated his kind and welcoming look. Actually, I looked up his quotes that impressed me: "In Sheffield we’re proud of doing things differently, and celebrating our differences." "I will kill hostiliy with kindness." "I believe we should be having uncomfortable conversations, rather than sweeping things under the carpet." "You could be the most racist person to me; I will still open that door for you. You can’t solve hate with hate." Now I see that he's just fake, posing clown.

ads36
ScripTed We can start by not offering unqualified stooges positions they don't merit. forgive me if i've misunderstood, but it seems you're suggesting that Magid isn't qualified to be lord mayor. he was deputy lord mayor last year, in what way did he fall short?
