geared
What does 26p/hour translate to in a % increase on yearly wage for the average supertram worker?
cgksheff
More importantly, at the moment, please be aware that there will be no service between Birley Lane and Halfway from 23rd June (this Saturday) until 8th August. Rail Replacement Works. ---------- Post added 21-06-2018 at 15:45 ---------- What does 26p/hour translate to in a % increase on yearly wage for the average supertram worker? I had always assumed that drivers were on better pay than those averages reported. (don't know why, just an impression) Conductors: £9.40 Drivers: £11.78 Edited June 21, 2018 by cgksheff

(don't know why, just an impression) Conductors: £9.40 Drivers: £11.78 They’re the worst paid of all the UK’s tram networks. Metrolink drivers earn up to £28k. There is no such progression at Supertram.
mrmw
Wow! They want more than NHS workers who save lives! And fail to mention the increases in previous years when everyone had pay freezes etc. Theyre paid well as it is. 26p per hour is a very decent pay rise . No sympathy for them

Do you know if qualification to drive the tram/trains gets them closer to train driver's pay?
