Lex Luthor
The Ipsos MORI poll I mentioned a few posts back, which showed that 47% of the British public believed the £350 million NHS lie was conducted on 23 June 2016. Is that date significant? Hell yes! It was the day of the actual referendum. Have you forgotten how all the polls were woefully inaccurate? I1L2T3
Have you forgotten how all the polls were woefully inaccurate? Some were actually very accurate. The private polling Farage used to falsely talk up a remain victory for example. You’ve seen the photo of him full of glee when the pound tanked? hauxwell
Unilever who make Dove, Marmite and other products have scrapped it’s plans to move the other half of its headquarters to the Netherlands, for now. Some of shareholders don’t want the move. They don’t seem to trust the Dutch tax system. I would have thought they would have voted unanimously to move because of Brexit. Could it be, like me they believe, it might not be a walk in the park at first after Brexit, but the country will survive and prosper. The Dutch Prime Minister isn’t to pleased that the move isn’t going to take place. He wants to realise you can’t always get to cherry pick, as the UK has been told by the EU. I think it's rather, that our pollsters and political elite don't understand the people. ---------- Post added 06-10-2018 at 08:34 ---------- According to BBC news, our chance of a deal has increased https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/amp/uk-45768848

The decision has nothing to do with Brexit. The shareholders would lose money, if Unilever were no longer listed on the FT top 100 shares index, which would happen if they closed their UK headquarters. ---------- Post added 06-10-2018 at 08:44 ---------- Some were actually very accurate. Surely Farage's private polling was very inaccurate given the fact you mention that he believed remain had won the EU referendum vote.
Top Cats Hat
Surely Farage's private polling was very inaccurate Deliberately so, to give sterling a shot in the arm so that when it tumbled as the real result came through, his currency speculator friends in the City would make an even bigger killing. Nigel could still end up in jail for this!

I1L2T3
That's an interesting theory, that currency speculators commission inaccurate private polls in order to use the inaccurate information to make a killing. More than just a theory. It is known he had access to private polling that indicated a win for leave, then he very shortly afterwards on TV conceded defeat to remain, then 3-4 hours later was pictured reacting with glee to a graphic of the pound plummeting in value. The full truth will come out.
