ez8004
I'm giving I1L2T3 a chance to enlighten me. Seriously, I am interested in some facts, rather than non-specific claims. Something that has been sadly lacking on both sides of the argument. Maybe if we'd had a few more concrete examples of how we have benefitted from membership the vote might have gone the other way. For years (before the referendum, remember then?) all we seemed to hear about the EU was negative stuff. And let's face it, we didn't hear a lot, - we've always been more interested in what was going on in America than what was going on in Brussels. Hence the growing clamour for a referendum in the first place. I did give you some facts. You’re the one who can’t give any. Give some counter evidence or be quiet. Thanks. I1L2T3
Really... Would you care to be more specific. Not just paper agreements /legislation, but actual on the ground actions. Your answer might like to reference a few things like the cod war. High growth, low unemployment, low youth unemployment, Schengen opt-out, Euro opt-out etc... etc... Not perfect by any means but if you add the concessions Cameron negotiated it was an amazing deal. As for fishing rights the industry is a fraction of 1% of U.K. economy. You stay fixated on that and you are wasting your time. Stick with it and despite all your lefty credentials you are caving into the right wing populism of Rees-Mogg and Farage. Hence the growing clamour for a referendum in the first place. The concrete example is our economy. The economy is the most important thing. The economy overrides everything. Every single argument. You will only realise one you, Farage, Rees-Mogg and the rest of Putin’s poodles have demolished it. Then it will be too late. And I really hope you don’t suffer greatly from it. The Moon
Mainstream politicians were never upfront and honest about the EU project and its end game, they were quite coy about the fact that it was to gradually become a single superstate. Car Boot
It's wonderful to read how our membership of the EU has benefited the middle class. Unfortunately the EU protectionist club is an enemy of the working class and the poor, and must be completely and utterly destroyed. The EU is a part of the global capitalist machinery, as it was always intended to be, which exploits and destroys ordinary people.

Hence the growing clamour for a referendum in the first place. You're not interested in any facts, that don't stroke your pro-Brexit bias. Others and I have given you facts with links -from independent sources- in your pro-Farage days, and time and again on the run-up to the referendum and since. E.g. what I1L2T3 just posted above, and much more. Yet here you are, still spouting the same slogans as other crusading pro-Brexit posters, and then appealing to posters for facts and explanations: you are impervious to facts. And probably still in thrall to Farage, Johnson, Rees-Mogg, etc.

If you damage the middle classes - which seems to be what you want most from Brexit - then you start to rip the heart out of the economy. These are the people who are most equipped to help the country to respond to crisis, but you just want to harm them. It’s obvious what you are doing. This is part of lining up remain-supporting middle England as the next enemy. The ones who damaged or derailed Brexit and who are enemies of who you consider to be working people. Big, big mistake.
