Then there's Easter Europe who has gone anti-immigration. The EU is critically flawed. Large sections of the populations just don't buy the benefits of the EU. It is doomed. You’re terminally deluded and trotting out rhetoric that went past its use by date in 2016. This is very real now. A lot is at stake for you (and all of us) and still you don’t realise it. You will. Not the electorate. Perhaps your flawed understanding of how representative democracy actually works is at fault? The people vote. The Executive either implements the result or it doesn't. And we are being steered towards a soft Brexit. That is the path that the government of the day is choosing. That is how they are choosing to leave. andyofborg Posted July 9, 2018 Share Posted July 9, 2018 It was made very clear to us, by the government of the day, that a vote to Leave the EU was a vote to Leave all of the EU institutions. The single market, the European Court of Justice, freedom of movement etc. the government of the day has gone, the government which came next understands that to abandon all the eu institutions without putting something equivalent in their place would result in quite a lot of problem for those parts of our industry (ie most of it) which are part of cross eu supply chains once airbus, landrover and the japanese car firms have gone there will be nothing to replace them Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
