That's the problem mel, some people think we are entitled to something better just because we're British.

 

They used to tell us we were the 5th richest country in the world, but when that wealth isn't managed in the interests of the population, being 5th means nothing.

Correct. I've just read about actor, tax dodger, miami resident and self confessed brexiteer Michael caine banging on how he'd rather be a poor master than a rich servant. He's going to be rich either way.

You are aware that the EU and the Irish PM have stated that under no circumstances there is to be a hard border between NI and Ireland?

 

The DUP don't want a border. The Conservatives don't want a border.

 

There isn't going to be a hard border.

 

All the arguing is about how you can get goods and people across the border without a physical checkpoint. So far all the UK ideas have been rejected, and the only one the EU wants is for a border down the Irish Sea which has been rejected. It's a tedious stalemate.
