Brexiteers are angry not just with Theresa May, but with reality!

https://www.economist.com/britain/2018/10/27/brexiteers-are-angry-not-just-with-theresa-may-but-with-reality

"As their project goes off the rails, Brexiteers resort to rage"

Many Brexiteers spent decades in the wilderness, being dismissed as “swivel-eyed loons” by senior Tories. They thought that the referendum result would finally turn them into prophets and heroes. But it is increasingly looking as if the establishment types got it right.

Unless they need another 1,113,943 people to make 'em, clearly unicorn eggs are better :hihi:

It may be the opposite,

May plans to SLASH TAXES to lowest rate in G20 to make Britain economic POWERHOUSE=

https://www.express.co.uk/news/politics/1022681/brexit-news-theresa-may-uk-eu-latest-no-deal-brexit

and in the real world, when the economy loses companies paying in, loses jobs, loses taxes coming in, business rates etc

what happens?

taxes will have to go up?

spending goes down?

might be project fear, it also "could" happen

Australia’s banks begin relocating functions from London:

http://uk.businessinsider.com/australian-banks-leave-london-as-no-deal-brexit-looms-2018-10

UK has ‘rolled over’ only 14 out of 236 EU international treaties:

https://www.ft.com/content/e1cd9afe-dad8-11e8-8f50-cbae5495d92b

Nothing important, just the stuff we don't need like treaties relating to airlines’ take-off and landing rights at overseas airports, as well as industries such as financial services, fisheries and nuclear

2 years, 14 treaties... at this rate it'll be 30 years before we reach the starting blocks! So much for those Brexiteer promises again :suspect:

Here's the doozy for the day:

Brexit deal dividend could boost economy, health secretary says:

https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2018/oct/29/brexit-deal-dividend-could-boost-economy-nhs-funding-health-secretary-matt-hancock-says

“I talk to companies every day that are ready to make investments in the UK and they want the uncertainty of these negotiations cleared before they will make those investments. So actually I think there’s potential good news on the horizon as we make a deal with the EU.”

He's the health secretary, what would he be talking to foreign companies about? :suspect:

Oh, almost missed this:

Moldova Grudge Could Cost U.K. Access to $1.7 Trillion Projects:

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-10-17/how-tiny-moldova-s-brexit-grudge-could-cost-u-k-1-7-trillion

Brexit backers have wooed Britain with their vision of a buccaneering future as a global trading nation clinching new deals in markets that were previous closed off to them because of their membership in the 28-nation bloc. The reality may be that they’ll be held ransom by every country, like Moldova, that has suffered personal affronts.

For Cojocaru, the diplomatic slight is emblematic of a broader issue: If her delegation wasn’t able to get visas in a timely manner, how could Moldovan suppliers seeking to bid on projects in the U.K. be expected to compete with vendors from nations that have an easier time gaining entry?

Moldova was joined by the U.S., New Zealand Japan, South Korea, Ukraine, and Israel in expressing concern that the U.K. application didn’t pass muster, according to officials familiar with the accession procedure. U.S. reticence was due to the U.K.’s failure to provide requested information and updates.

Entirely predictable, more Brexiteer promises up in smoke

The Boeing factory that just opened, along with the rest of the high value manufacturing out at the AMP, can be directly linked to EU help/funding.

As for the 2nd factory, that's definitely not nailed on. And in what universe do we think leaving the EU will help?
