bendix
Quite simply because the whole thing has been led by the right wing. Without UKIP and a vocal Tory right there would never have been a chance of a Brexit driven by the left The right own this. That’s how it is. Nope. I'm not buying that. It was voted for by both sides, left and right. Tradtional conservative and hardcore labour voters. And at a leadership level, there are enough prominent labour leave supporters. Perhaps the right had more integrity by actually coming out and supporting it; the far left were more sneaky, complicity supporting it but not being seen to be associated directly. Flexo
Lockdoctor = Tory Brexit bot Car boot = Labour Momentum bot Both just repeat the same thing over and over Distraction tactics. Not quite distraction tactics - rather tactics to make it appear that people still support Brexit and opinion is still divided. It's only these troll accounts and a handful of disaster capitalists (lead by Jacob Rees Mogg) that continue to argue for Brexit. Never positive reasons - just "the will of the people". And that will has changed.

Whatever you say you only have to look at the leaders of this. They are practically all on the right. Labour leave: Skinner, Hoey, Stuart and a few others. completely at odds with the majority of Labour voters where remain support approaches 70% Yes we have to understand why some Labour supporters voted leave but this is very, very far away from being a Brexit for the left. Litotes
Figures from the EU show economic growth in the 19 countries using the euro currency slowed to 0.2%, from 0.4% in the previous quarter. Growth across all 28 countries of the EU fell to 0.3% from 0.5%. The National Institute for Social and Economic Research says it expects growth to be 0.7% for the UK in the third quarter. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-46028714 Just as well when we remain, we won't be using the euro... Another reason for not exiting.
tinfoilhat
Lockdoctor is correct. We are ALL Leavers now. Even the Remainers. We shall ALL leave TOGETHER. It's a shame leavers can't agree with how best to leave.
apelike
Yes we have to understand why some Labour supporters voted leave but this is very, very far away from being a Brexit for the left. Some Labour supporters? Its estimated that around 61% of Labour constituencies in the UK voted to leave and 75% of Conservative constituencies voted leave. Now if we want to talk about parliamentary seats then a much larger majority of parliamentary seats voted to Leave - 64%.
Top Cats Hat
Some Labour supporters? Yes, it was something like 30% of Labour supporters voted leave! Not a huge amount.

Lockdoctor argues that constituencies don’t matter, and it’s the fact that the whole of the U.K. that voted that is important But as for Labour supporters it’s 30%-ish who voted leave
