Black/blue Bin lock

You could drill a couple of holes in it and put something through them to secure it I take it neighbors are putting stuff in yours.

I had to do the same with the mother-in-laws bins as people were filling it with bags when she wasn't home.

 

Got a drill and put a hole in the edge of the bottom and the edge of the lid, a short bit of chain from Homebase, a bolt to hold it in place and just popped the ring of a padlock through the lid hole and attached the chain.

Just make sure it's short enough that they can't open the lid and sneak stuff in.

Yup, I wouldn't mind if they asked and also not throw things in like wood.
