Snooker147
Another thing I have seen and I tried it on a couple buzzing around my loft when I needed to work up there was attaching a long tube to the vacuum and removing them that way
sheffandy
Easy fix is soak the nest in petrol, light a match and stand well back...however you may need to check your household insurance before lighting match.
Pyrotequila
I know they are a pest to humans, but if they are in the loft, and not actually bothering you, then could you not consider leaving them? They actually do good for plants, and kill off other more pesky bugs. I always used to zap them, but now ignore them... They chew up wood to make the nest, so potentially could be causing damage to the timbers in the roof.
