while we are here, who actually have been the best Irish players, of all time?

Danny Blanchflower deserves to be on any such list as well, and let's not forget Harry Gregg.

I don't think it would all that difficult to put an all-time all-Ireland team together that would give an all-time England team a pretty good run for their money.

 

surely it's Pat Jennings in net. Not Harry Gregg.

I wasn't thinking of a fantasy Irish team when I replied to your earlier post, I was just thinking up names of top Northern Irish players and Gregg came to mind, of course, Jennings was probably the better one, just didn't think of him at the time of posting.
