Far easier to pretend you care.

The left are all about feelings and not facts

They talk BS without ever thinking about the consequences of their decisions.

Just look at the mess of the liberal states in the USA.

The Tories should put "GO WOKE GO BROKE" on their gravestone at next election

Ironically we'll probably elect a far left party to replace them

Our only hope is that Starmer is full of BS and he's Blair 2.0

The usual rant blaming all life’s evils on anyone who doesn’t subscribe to rightist bigotry.

Wherever we are at in terms of policy is down to a long standing Conservative Government which has shifted increasingly to the right in recent years.

Obviously not far enough in your opinion.

Common sense and truth is classed as right wing view?

Yep, count me in.

👍

Especially if you give a different view, then the personal insults start flying.

The tolerant left!!

Absolutely not. Not only totally impractical but the individual fares and costs would be far higher and there would be no  overall environmental benefit.

Even if you could find a sailing it would take around twenty days, during which time you will need 80 days(2 people return) of food, water, energy(heat, A/C, cleaning. movement, food storage/processing) etc. which would cost far more than at home.

Without doubt using ships is a better way of moving bulky/heavy stuff long distances for which time is not a critical factor particularly on ships that use cleaner fuels. However they cannot compete with aircraft when it comes to carrying soft fruit and delicate vegetables demanded by consumers when out of season here on in Europe. The climate and location(sunlight hours) of the UK makes it the best place in the world to grow soft fruits like strawberries-why then do we buy crap from abroad which has to have been bred to last longer and bigger at the expense of flavour and texture?

I asked the question as my father sailed from the UK to Egypt via the Cape of Good Hope on a troopship in WW2.

The "sanctimonious, righteous left" would love to send birth control methods, access to abortion, educate women (which has proven the surest way of limiting population), etc. but the religious right, particularly in the USA through the Republican party, make aid conditional on not doing those things.

They're like children

The silent majority have tolerated their childish rants but we've had enough

I've commented again and again that you can't give them an inch because they'll take 10,000 miles

It was amusing for a while but now it's just irritating

Was Bob Geldof prevented?

As the polls in many countries in Europe are indeed concurring with.

There is no religious right in the UK

You'll find that most conservatives are liberals

Most support free speech and gay marriage and the women's right to choose

You'll find that most middle voters are happy for people to be who they want to be

It's why so many people want to come here

Have you tried being Black?

Because the eco cult only seem to be angry at white people

Grey is always the one to introduce colour into the conversation, but always the first to claim he's not racist.

You'll find that the USA spends far more on aid than the UK does and since you didn't specify the UK left mentioning the religious right in the USA is fair game.

Do you have any examples of the left arguing we shouldn't be providing birth control, etc., or are you just setting up a straw man you attribute to them so you have something complain about.

That was no cruise. An uncle went the other way starting from India, fighting the French in Madagascar and then around the Cape to Algeria, Taranto, Anzio(saving the Americans part 1) then Florence. Off to Antwerp to save the Americans part 2. Their regiment was on its way to Malaya in August 1945 when the American saved them by ending the war with their bombs. Two happier years spent dismantling bases in India and Ceylon.  Lancashire 2 -1 America one he used to say.
