Knife attacks in Sheffield 2018

Police cuts, lack of parental guidance, austerity, immigration...who knows the cause/solution.

All I keep coming up with is the thought that anybody who's wandering around armed with a blade must be sadly lacking in the brain cell department...

It's never one thing, it's a combination of all the things you've listed.

We could apply combinations of circumstances as reasoning for lots of criminal activity and human behaviour, however there is generally no excuse for using a knife on someone, those who choose to use knives, or guns (armed conflict and self defence cases excepted) have little or no regard or respect for human life and are vile scum regardless of those circumstances.

That's a very refreshing and Sociological approach Michael!

Hi guys, I've posted before and I'm merely here on this forum at the moment because Sheffield had always been my top destination to come and live. Note the use of 'had' - worries have started to creep in. Every time I search Sheffield news (I've had an invested interest since deciding), I hear about a new stabbing. There really is an eeriness to all the bad news I've read lately. That really is about the last 3 times I've looked someone's been stabbed or attempted to be killed.

Can someone fill me in - is it really as dangerous as my tiny brain would have me believe?

Obviously Sheffield is a large city with everything that entails, including art, culture, theatre, museums, sport, etc, including, unfortunately violence and criminality.

Overall it’s actualy quite safe for a big city

What kind of moron takes a weapon into court?

Looking at the picture I say at least half of those items are not weapons but tools or camping gear.

They are probably builders, plumbers, electrician and some people with some multi function knife they got for their birthday but not to stab people.
