GOLDEN OLDIE
Best place to buy a new and good quality mattress in Sheffield, and importantly, will they take away an old mattress?
geared
Costco have had some pretty good deal on them recently, they change the deal on a weekly basis so not sure what the deal is today. Don't think they take the old one, but the council will collect bulky items for a fee, or strap it to the roof of the car and drive it to the tip? woodview
We've had a few disappointing ones, I'd avoid memory foam. We got our current and all time favourite in Ikea. Very good price and a long return period if you're not happy. Love it.
Pyrotequila
Another vote for Ikea, we wouldn't get them from anywhere else now, so comfy!
Dromedary
I know you have stated Sheffield but why no try on-line and get it delivered free? BTW I just bought a Silentnight Sofia Mirapocket 1200 frome here: https://www.thesleepshop.co.uk/ which I can recommend and so does Which magazine, has to be turned though. And as others have said, stay clear of memory foam ones.
Marx
Check the 'Which' website. They did a mattress test recently.

woodview
Don't buy a mattress online, get in a shop and lie on one. They vary so much in how they feel, the firmness that suits you etc. Your going to spend 8hrs a day on it, do it right.

Another point to make is to look at the description very closely as a hell of a lot are sold for occasional use or guest room only and not suitable for everyday use. scousemouse
Discount beds on Alderson Road S2 are very good, and take away your old mattress.
