I wouldn't take my pinking shears to a shoemaker/key shop but seek out a specialist – I know that doesn't really help you, Itrytoplease, as I have no recommendations. I've had my pinking shears for 25 years and they're still sharp, fortunately. Try the little mester at Kelham Island Museum....though it is closed Fridays and Saturdays Worth asking.
