The question was asking if they were above us (or something of the sort).

Which I have answered very clearly on several occasions.

Nothing about should we have a monarchy

It is your use of the servile term above us that is the problem here. Is Charles Head of State? Yes, that's the undemocratic system this country operates.

In that role I actually wish him well, as a result of the self inflicted damage we have done to ourselves we need all the goodwill we can get.

I was pleased that all went well in France, and when the French President visits us I'm sure we will also welcome him.

However, the point is that whatever position he holds he is not above me, do you understand that simple fact? As pointed out previously I've met and had a conversation with a Head of State, that person wasn't above me or any other citizen of the country who's President she was. The lady was The First Citizen during the time she held the office.  The country's representative and someone to be treat with good manners, but not someone to be bowed and scraped to.

Equality and respect are something to be welcomed and should always be two way. Deference and obsequious behaviour in one direction is demeaning.

You don't have a choice though.

You may not like it but you have no option in the matter.

Our Orgy, bless him, is happy to receive the fruits of a nation that happens to have a tradition of monarchy, but he should stop whining about it,

For better or worse the democratic monarchy is a fact of life in Britain.

😂

He is like that cuddly old dog that just barks at everyone in a suit and tie with a sun tan, but you can't help but have a soft spot for the little rascal.

in WHAT matter.  There is no MATTER to have a choice in

Yes, there is a king and Yes, it seems he is your king but NO, he is not my king.

If he drove past me and I wanted to shout FO Charles,  there is not a damned thing that anyone could do.

I will NOT bow, I will not scrape and I will not call him either Your Majesty or Sir.

I don't care how many of you  decide I shouldn't be like that    -    I am

Seems as though you are beginning to see the light and realise you are one of the Kings subjects and He ranks above you in the constitution.

We are just the crumbs at the bottom of the biscuit barrel of life whilst the King is the full biscuit at the top of the barrel.

Better explain how you deduce that.

I give you full credit for wishful thinking and I readily believe that you are a crumb at the bottom of the barrel.

The king could only be describes as a lying, conniving, deceitful bit of biscuit.  That's only the bits we know about.

I have things to do and can't waste my time on here all afternoon.  Enjoy your pantomime all of you.

Interesting rant, but is anybody actually asking you to bow and scrape to the King of England?

I wouldn't either, but when I'm in England, I accept that I am a subject of the Crown, and its Lawful Government, and the Crown's legal system.

If I can't accept the reality of the political system where I live, I pick up and leave.

Did it to the U.K., Canada, the States.

I'd do it again, if authoritarian  socialists took over my happy country, but I hope I'm gone before that probably inevitable day!  :)

In the constitution of the country HE is.

Maybe not in your opinion but in reality HE is.

Look at it as a pyramid with the King at the top and others below.

Once again you are giving your opinion of our monarchy which is completely irrelevant to the matter in hand.

Basically your opinion of the monarchy counts for nothing in the matter as it is facts you need to accept.

Enjoy the afternoon.

Obviously, that is your way of looking at it, but it isn't mine. Someone being born into a set of circumstances which place them in a position that they may or may not have any aptitude for is a ridiculous state of affairs. Charles has a fatal accident before impregnating Diana and you would be giving your obeisance to King Andrew.

In any event you are wrong about what the constitution says. https://www.parliament.uk/about/how/role/sovereignty/

Parliament is sovereign. Yes, those wonderful competent, honest and trustworthy politicians are in charge, what could possibly go wrong?

You are passing your opinion again which is irrelevant

I think you will find the Monarch is head of state.
