It's important for people to express negative views towards things they don't like. Otherwise you end up with situations like Putin's Russia, where voices of dissent are 'silenced'...

 

Also, kinda reminds me of the media in our country regarding Royalty, where only positive views are allowed to be expressed. To the extent that you'd almost think everyone in our country is pro-Royal!

You take my point then, on the importance of expressing negative views towards a thing.

 

Also, not talking about individual Royals, but the whole thing as an institution.

im not sure another celebrity would have got the same ride for what he did. 
 

 Oh and the queen stumped up £10m to pay his fees for paying off the girl - great service to the country by her majesty that - thanks a lot HRH.

In a democracy folks get the government they deserve.

 

I couldn't care less what they decide to do with their Royal Family, but I have family in the UK and Canada, and on the family WhatApp blog, they were all celebrating, decking themselves out with hats and flags, and generally having a good time.

 

They didn't look like they were being oppressed by anybody. There was no diktat from Party Cliques, Union activists, to get the citizens out in the street to show support.

 

And the vomiters and potential wrist slitters were allowed to stay home, boycott the proceedings, and watch the soap operas, or catch up on the latest doings of their own brand of useless celebs. So cheer up, there's always another election around the corner.

 

That's democracy!
