In what way does the monarchy unify the people?  You must be aware that there are a significant number of people who whilst being loyal to the country do not hold any loyalty to the crown.

If those people take the swearing of an oath seriously they are prevented from becoming members of quite a number of trades and professions,

They cannot join the Police service, the Armed Forces, Judiciary or any other organisation which requires an oath of allegiance to the crown as part of its terms and conditions of employment.

The monarchy is in fact divisive.

It can unite all people of different political beliefs,

The tiny minority who would not take an oath of allegiance are entitled to.

He's absolutely wrong.  He's siding with a yob who has been charged with a breach of the peace. There is no justification for anyone shouting abuse at a person walking behind a coffin in a hearse.

Man charged over heckling of Prince Andrew as he followed coffin

No, he isnt..........

What was that girl doing in the company of those people, didn't she know what they were like, how do we know she didn't lie about her age at the time,

As for the arrest? An absolutely shameful display by the police. But then that's what I've come to expect from plod in recent years.

I have read about the faults and fully understand your lack of support because of individuals behaviour.

My main support for the Monarchy s that in times of war or disaster people from all political viewpoints can come together under one unifying point which is the Monarchy.

The armed forces and civil powers  swear allegiance to The Crown and so are non political.

You really need to do some research mate. This could not be further from the truth if you tried.

just Google Edward VIII
