Edward and Mrs. Simpson still enjoyed a lavish lifestyle and maybe one reason they left was because of their association with Germany before ww2. Yeah, but I doubt if Meghan and Harry would have settled for a semi-detatched in Bolton, rather than the high life in the USA. Duty that isn't exactly onerous, is it. What do you mean by "live like us"? Go to work every day? Maybe night shifts at an Amazon warehouse, is that the opportunity they would love to have?
