Bullying in Government.

Recommended Posts

Should be scrapped and desks put in, in the style of other 20th century+ Parliaments. Bunch of schoolkids act better imo.

Put this on another thread: When they shut it down for refurbishment, they should turn it into a museum or some such, and build a state of the art place for the purpose of Government somewhere else, with all the tech, security etc built in.

It would be cheaper in the long run, cheaper to police etc. They won't like it of course, but IMO it might remind MPs it is a place of work, rather than a place pf privilege, entitlement and entertainment. Do away with the archaic traditions that belong in another age, and slow governance down: make it a modern Parliament for a modern age.

You cant expect the poor fellows to jump straight from the similar environment of Oxford & Cambridge to a modern sterile office block of the type the plebs graft in!

My point is this: isn't our system built entirely on adversarial lines? The benches in the House of Commons 2 sword lengths apart etc to stop them physically attacking each other.

Too much is made of the seating arrangement in the house of commons chamber and how it lends itself to adversarial debate. Holyrood in Scotland and the Welsh assembly both have those circular layouts that are supposedly more conducive to friendlier grown up debate, yet if you've ever watched it you'll see they're just as rowdy and yah-boo as the House of commons.

That's why the perfect opportunity is when they kick them out of the Palace of Westminster, due very soon for (expensive) restoration, and have to set them up elsewhere.

Get rid of 500 of the parasites (making sure the bullies are among them) and stick the rest in a building on an industrial estate in Birmingham. Most IE have a cheap sit in cafe or a mobile cafe on site so food would not be a problem. Accommodation could be a Premier Inn or Travelodge. As for drink, the unwashed masses are not allowed to consume ale in working hours, so why should the remaining 150 Parasites be allowed to do so.

I guess this would save the Country many many millions over a year. The brass saved could be put into a hospital or two to boost their income.
