All styles, all welcome. 8.30pm, free entry Wednesday 17th October: Quiz Night The highly irreverent Quiz is every Wednesday at The White. Hosted by the inimitable Mr Bling, you and your team must overcome 3 rounds of general knowledge, an audio round and a picture round in order to claim the prize. Throw into the mix some random challenges, spot prizes, lashings of real ale and a completely free buffet with veggie, vegan and gluten-free options and you're onto a winner. 9pm, 50p entry Thursday 18th October: Jam Night Hosted by Sheffield legend Chris Firminger and backed by his regular house band The TwoJays, this evening provides a platform for musicians from all over Sheffield and further afield. Renowned for the musicians it attracts, the Thursday Jam sees regular attendance and performance from the likes of Thor, Julian Jones, The Carnival, Open Jaw Fayre, The Crashers, Grave Danger, Fahrenheit, Vamp and many more. Full backline and P.A. provided, come watch or join in. 8.30pm, free entry Friday 19th October: Do$ch Dosch supply their own brand of "high energy" British R&B, and have played alongside such legends as Dr. Feelgood, Mick Pini, The Wilko Johnson Band & Dumpy's Rusty Nuts. R.J.Greaves of Blues in Britain Magazine rated their album Money to Burn, 9/10, and recommended, "a great act to catch live." Dosch have appeared at the Blues Festivals in Burnley and Nantwich, plus The Great British Rhythm & Blues Festival in Colne, U.K. 9.30pm, free entry Saturday 20th October: Motorkill Needing no introduction - it's Motorkill. A ball-crunching non stop rock n' roll tribute to the loudest & dirtiest rock band on the planet !! They absolutely smashed it when they played here earlier in the year and now they're back for round 2. Don't miss out! 9.30pm, free entry Sunday 21st October: A benefit for The Special Branch Come along to The White Lion this Sunday and raise some funds for The Special Branch, a small local charity that provides care and support to injured birds. The Special Branch do not have any regular funding and functions solely through the time and effort of local duo Nicky and Darren.
