iansheff Posted October 23, 2018 Share Posted October 23, 2018 Did anyone watch Panorama last night, it was disgusting how the Government have treated the people that had mortgages with Northern Rock. The Government "saved" people who had mortgages by moving them to Ukar which is state owned. These people have been totally ripped off with their mortgages as they are paying a high interest rate and no way of moving.One man had his house repossessed, he had depression and had not opened his mail, however when it was looked into he was £1000 in credit anyway. The judge sided with him and told them they could not sell his property. Osborne made a lot about selling the mortgages onto Cerberus and the Government getting the money back that had been used to bail out NR.
