Read between the lines France has a gigantic problem with Immigration ,large parts of Paris are no go areas for the police and City officials .

What on earth have the protests / riots got to do with immigration?

As for the no go areas in Paris - here they are;

So you thought you'd just slip it in anyway, regardless of the real issues behind the protests?

Macron approval rating down to 18%. Looking forward to Frexit.

You'll be waiting a long, long time - I doubt if there's a majority for leaving the EU in Miss Piggy's lot, never mind the rest of the population.

Except, there aren't. It's a false narrative devoid of fact.

Must be inversely proportional to favourability towards the EU, since that is rising in France and across the EU generally.

A result of Brexit and Trump.

The French authorities are still expecting trouble this Saturday.  Tourists sites are closing and armoured vehicles are going to be on the streets of Paris.  A very sorry state of affairs.  Hopefully things wont be as bad as the French authorities fear.  We are lucky to be living in England.

Truly, we could have the misfortune of living in Wales, or worse, Scotland.

But I haven't seen any major looting and burning yet, which of course featured heavily in the last uprising in the English Capital.

Interesting to see plain-clothes Police in semi-riot gear.

A country where people still have the passion to stand up and be counted. I'm not condoning looting / general destruction in any way, but at least they do something, rather than sat at home whinging and getting what's given.
