Driving south over tinslet viaduct at about 12.00 today, a peregrine heading north on level with the barrier pursued by 3 black headed gulls.

I checked the dashcam footage to confirm but it's not worth posting

It might have been their chick one was eating earlier. I couldn't make out exactly what it was, but it was small and didn't look like an adult bird of any kind. Do peregrines take prey from nests?

As for her on the egg or eggs. If the original one is still there, I wouldn't have though it would still be alive after so long out in the open. I hope I'm wrong though.

And the Notts one looks like they just finished breakfast! A lot of feathers left.

What has happened? Has the female not returned?

Not sure what you mean. They both look like they are doing OK.

There was a bit of twitter panic overnight where it looked as if the eggs had been left for a bit and the female had gone missing. Thankfully it looks like panic over.
