He has also got off for not wearing a seat belt.

This proves that there is one law for the so called aristocrats and one for the under class.

You dont always get nailed for not wearing a seatbelt . Ive been pulled for it and just got a warning. Ive also have plod pull up next to me at traffic lights and just gesture for me to put it on. It all depends on the copper at the time.

Re my previous post, "I agree, it would not surprise me either if a deal was done. But the law should be applied equally to all. from Prince to Pauper. Yes."

Did anyone really believe he would be charged. He is "ROYALTY" not like us the serfs.

Lol, there's not a chief constable in the land going to chuck his chance of a knighthood away.

I am no Royalist which comes as no surprise on this forum. But I cannot even imagine a young guy pulling out from a minor onto a major, causing a pretty bad accident and not getting his collar felt by Plod. It just would not happen, would it.

That an old multimillionaire who was undoubtedly the cause of the accident that this thread is about,  then relinquishes his licence should have no bearing on the case whatever.

"Lady Justice is most often depicted with a set of scales typically suspended from her left hand, upon which she measures the strengths of a case's support and opposition. She is also often seen carrying a double-edged sword in her right hand, symbolizing the power of Reason and Justice, which may be wielded either for or against any party.  Then the blindfold which represents objectivity, in that justice is or should be meted out objectively, without fear or favour, regardless of money, wealth, fame, power, or identity; blind justice and impartiality."

How many 90 odd year old are getting hauled up before the beak after car accidents? Not many. He wasn't drunk, he pulled out of junction with the sun in his eyes. If this was any other 90 odd year old, we wouldn't be talking about it.

Absolutely common sense, spend thousands on a high profile court case, for what..driving without due care and attention, 3pts and a few hundred quid fine.. he"s handed his licence in ,fair result..think some on here would like to send him to the Tower.
