The Consequences of Brexit [Part 6] READ FIRST POST BEFORE COMMENTING

Boris Johnson interviewed at JCB this morning, "I didn’t say anything about Turkey in the referendum"!

As well as the Big Bus Lie,  one of the things the BBC got a bollocking for after the referendum campaign was repeatedly refusing to challenge Leave supporters who said that the only way to prevent immigration from Turkey was for Britain to leave the EU.

Ironically, if we do leave the UK, we may end up allowing immigration from Turkey to attract trade.

“In 2017, Mr Fox said that the UK could "replicate the 40 free trade agreements before we leave the EU", so that there would be no disruption to trade.

But with just over two months to go until Brexit, not one has been signed, said the BBC's business correspondent Jonty Bloom.

The Department for International Trade says some agreements are at an advanced stage but none of the 40 free trade deals that the EU has with other countries have so far been rolled over so that they will cover the UK after Brexit."

Think we are ready to Leave?

If so that makes the whole mantra a massive straw man

‘Bad deal’ is highly subjective

And deals are two-sided anyway

Its an utterly idiotic thing to say

Surely the poster is able to post without a rather nasty reply.

Although anecdotal I was taking the dog for a walk yesterday and bumped into a friend who didn't vote. He said he was fed up with politicians and if another vote was called he would now vote leave.

Talking to a couple of lads at work who voted leave, and they now want the process to be canned on basis it was almost 50:50 and the case for leaving is now not compelling enough. They want us to stay.

Channel Four News' Michael Crick totally owned Boris the Clown at his JCB speech today!

After the 'I never once mentioned Turkey in the referendum campaign' remark, Crick Googled the crap out of it and when Boris tried to leg it he was followed by Crick reading out quote after quote from his mobile of various things Bojo had said about Turkey.

Johnson seems to be singing from the Donald Trump hymnsheet of saying anything you like about a subject, because if you are caught lying, the dummies who support you will neither know nor care about it.

Not sure that this will work over here.
