Can I ask you a question Car Boot?

If we are genuinely going to be better off outside the EU, why hasn't any previous governments brought us out without asking us?

The usual elite this, elite other nonsense isn't answering the question BTW. ;)

The only governments that would have taken us out EEC/EU control was firstly the 1975 Harold Wilson Labour government - if the referendum had been won by the Leave side. It wasn't.

Then if Labour had won the 1983 general election under the great socialist Michael Foot we would also have left. Since those times, global capital has captured both Tory and Labour governments, especially Labour under Blair - until the election of Jeremy Corbyn.

Big business fears a Corbyn government even more than it fears Brexit.

No it doesn’t. Big business, really big business will either ride the wave or leave - taking jobs with them.

Which would you prefer?

So you don't believe that the real reason the democratic direction of 17.4 million people is being denied is because Westminster is over 75 per cent Remainer?

The Brexit hating Remainer minority imposing their will upon the Leave majority.

Are you still denying that the will of the people has changed?

The will of the People is almost exactly the same as it was in June 2016.

It's perhaps changed only very slightly.

I prefer that we stand up to threats and intimidation. Capitulation never works.

Not what the polls indicate, which is significant change, not to mention that 2 million new voters will almost certainly vote remain and 2 million dead leave voters won't vote at all.

The polls put Remain on 55 and Leave on 45 per cent just before the vote. How did that work out for you?

They were polls of people who were eligible to vote, not people who intended to vote, hence the difference.

The 2016 referendum was a poll for leavers which is why Leave supporters were always more likely to vote in it. Even then they only scraped through.

Never , ever, did I see it anywhere stipulated that it was a poll for leavers

Well who on earth else was it for?

I don't remember anyone other than €urosceptics calling for a referendum.  Like my 'F1 moving to Sky' poll, only people interested in Formula One bothered voting on it.

Why do you think that the majority of people who didn't vote in 2016 were remain supporters? Unless that referendum was binding and/or compulsory, as a democratic exercise it was pretty pointless.
